WHO WE ARE

We are men who served in the Recon Platoon of Echo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry
Regiment,1st Cavalry Division (Air Mobile) from the Platoon's inception in mid-1968
through its first year of operation.

Our hope is to reunite the men who served together in Vietnam in the Recon Platoon of Echo Company - 1/5 Cavalry from its inception in 1968 through  mid-1969. We sponsor an annual reunion in late summer/early fall so the men of our unit, and their wives (or significant others), can meet in comradeship and friendship... and to enjoy each others company in a pleasant and comfortable location. Additionally, we hope this web site will become a vehicle to help our comrades stay in touch with one another, as well as a tool to find other members of our unit. As the site continues to evolve , we expect our mission and goals will expand accordingly.

This site is dedicated to the proud veterans who pioneered the Echo Recon concept in the 1st Cavalry's 2nd Brigade,
1st Battalion, 5th Regiment, and fought during its formation and early operations from mid-1968 through mid-1969.
(We can offer no unit or personnel information after mid-1969)
